Making and Breaking with Science and Conscience

My PhD thesis Making and Breaking with Science and Conscience: the human rights-compatibility of information security governance in the context of quantum computing and encryption explores how the continuous cycle of making and breaking in information security relates to human rights. It’s about questions such as: can governments mandate backdoors in encryption, are governments allowed to keep vulnerabilities secret, should we curtail the development of quantum computers, and are information security researchers allowed to break into systems?

The book is currently under embargo, but please contact me for a private copy.
